Sow into Someone Else’s Life
“Oil and perfume make the heart glad, and the sweetness of a friend comes from his earnest counsel.” Proverbs 27:9
I went to the elementary school that I have been volunteering at today to eat lunch with my mentee. She is a TRIP, but I enjoy it. It’s important to be able to look beyond your own problems and minister to the needs of someone else. When you step away from your issues and spend time with someone else, you give God the reins and it allows Him to make moves on your behalf.
“By love serve one another.” Galatians 5:13
Philippians 2:1-4 calls this attitude true humility. By serving others and caring for them as much as yourself, you minister to a need they have and God will minister to you. Whether they need comfort, financial help, or just someone to talk to, your act of simply showing interest will definitely bless them. Think about it and go minister to someone today! Galatians 6:2 says “You obey the law of Christ when you offer each other a helping hand.”
2 Corinthians 1:4–He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.
“The joy of the Lord is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10
