Prepare. Position. Press. Day 15 – Put in the Work!

Faith without works is dead. You’ve heard it before I’m sure. But it is so relevant here.

You cannot reap the fruits of a garden if you did not first plant the seeds. Then you have to water the garden regularly and properly as well as check for and remove weeds. You also have to make sure the garden is receiving adequate sun. You must protect the harvest you are seeking from predators. You may even need to provide the nutrients the soil is missing in order for your garden to thrive. Doing all of these things well may produce a bountiful harvest.

Something you must ask yourself though is why you are doing what you are doing. If your goal is to glorify God and to manifest His will and purpose for your life in the Earth, God is faithful to help you. But often, people have ulterior motives that do not include God at all. Worst yet, it is easy to get distracted. Execution can be difficult because you have to maintain your focus by keeping your eyes on the prize, or refocusing on it when necessary.

I don’t know about you, but I want everything God has promised me and everything He put on my heart for this season. I refuse to not be prepared like I have been many times in the past.

Prayer:
Lord God, thank You for Your word. Thank You that You left me a guide here to refer back to and to look to in order to clarify my path. I thank You for this process and that I can follow it to get to the destiny that lies ahead of me. I ask You to forgive me for not having followed through in the past. I ask You to forgive me for lacking the discipline to execute. I thank You that with the new habits I am instituting and the renewed mindset I now have, I can execute with precision. I thank You for preparing the field and for blessing the harvest for me. I thank You for my life and for the purposes You desire to bring to pass through my life. I align myself with seeking to glorify You in all I do and I thank You for the motivation to make it to the finish line. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prepare. Position. Press. Day 14 – Strategies to Overcome

We already acknowledged the potential blockages and obstacles to our success last week. Now, we will go to God in prayer and to the Word for the strategies to overcome. Romans 8:37 tells us we are more than conquerors!

I encourage you to do the following:
1) pray through Ephesians 6:12-18 – the full armor of God. Why? Praying through these scriptures reminds us what we have through Christ. We have access to His truth, to His righteousness, to His Gospel. We can take up our faith, cover our heads in salvation, and slay the enemy with the Word of God, just like Jesus did in the Wilderness.
2) Look for scriptures that counter what you are facing. If an obstacle of yours is fear, look up every scripture that says be strong and courageous or that counters fear. Why? Having those scriptures to stand on is strengthening your sword. The more scripture you know and can use against the lies of the enemy, the more you can rely on the truth of God’s word to ensure your breakthrough.
3) Confess those scriptures. Having them is one thing, using them over and over and over is another. Having more scripture committed to memory is sharpening your sword so that you can cut deep to the root of the lie.
4) Pray without ceasing and give God thanks for the victory. (see Eph 6:18, 1 Thess 5:17) Keep thanking God for your victory, in faith! Prayer is your means of communication with God. Give God back His word and thank Him in prayer!

You can and will overcome if you trust God at His word! God cannot and will not lie!

Prayer:
Father God, thank You for this divine set up for victory. Thank You that the enemy cannot overtake me because I feast on Your word. I thank You that this is only the beginning for me and all the time I spent being defeated is dead now. I trust in You and I rest in Your power. I employ this strategy to overcome and I tailor it to my specific situation. I realize that some things I may need to focus more effort on. At times I may need to pray late into the midnight hour. Other times I may need to pray the prayer of agreement. Others, I may need to just spend time in your word. Regardless, I seek You for the exact formula. I thank You that defeat no longer resides here. I love You, Lord!! In Jesus’ name, Amen.
