Prepare. Position. Press. Day 14 – Strategies to Overcome

We already acknowledged the potential blockages and obstacles to our success last week. Now, we will go to God in prayer and to the Word for the strategies to overcome. Romans 8:37 tells us we are more than conquerors!

I encourage you to do the following:
1) pray through Ephesians 6:12-18 – the full armor of God. Why? Praying through these scriptures reminds us what we have through Christ. We have access to His truth, to His righteousness, to His Gospel. We can take up our faith, cover our heads in salvation, and slay the enemy with the Word of God, just like Jesus did in the Wilderness.
2) Look for scriptures that counter what you are facing. If an obstacle of yours is fear, look up every scripture that says be strong and courageous or that counters fear. Why? Having those scriptures to stand on is strengthening your sword. The more scripture you know and can use against the lies of the enemy, the more you can rely on the truth of God’s word to ensure your breakthrough.
3) Confess those scriptures. Having them is one thing, using them over and over and over is another. Having more scripture committed to memory is sharpening your sword so that you can cut deep to the root of the lie.
4) Pray without ceasing and give God thanks for the victory. (see Eph 6:18, 1 Thess 5:17) Keep thanking God for your victory, in faith! Prayer is your means of communication with God. Give God back His word and thank Him in prayer!

You can and will overcome if you trust God at His word! God cannot and will not lie!

Prayer:
Father God, thank You for this divine set up for victory. Thank You that the enemy cannot overtake me because I feast on Your word. I thank You that this is only the beginning for me and all the time I spent being defeated is dead now. I trust in You and I rest in Your power. I employ this strategy to overcome and I tailor it to my specific situation. I realize that some things I may need to focus more effort on. At times I may need to pray late into the midnight hour. Other times I may need to pray the prayer of agreement. Others, I may need to just spend time in your word. Regardless, I seek You for the exact formula. I thank You that defeat no longer resides here. I love You, Lord!! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prepare. Position. Press. Day 13 – Accountability Check!

Last week we spent time identifying "our team." This week and from here on out, let’s check in with our team. Whether through an email, phone call, or even a quick text, be intentional about being accountable to those we selected. If you have any questions or prayer requests, go to your team and ask them to pray for you. (Also, feel free to email me Your prayer requests as well.) Ask God to confirm the things He revealed to you. Revisit the scriptures and use them to pray for those on your team or to pray to find a team if you haven’t identified them.

Prayer:
Lord God, thank You for the wisdom and revelation You are giving us through this time of preparation, positioning, and pressing. I repent for all the times I have tried to go about life alone. I pray that You would renew my mind in this area, especially as it concerns accountability. I pray that as I connect with and receive from the people You have positioned in my life to sow into me and vice versa, that I will grow exponentially and in leaps and bounds. I declare that there will be no more setbacks because I refused to receive advice, counsel, constructive instruction or direction from someone You placed in my life to sow into me. I receive Your word and leading for me however You choose to send it and I thank You that my heart and mind are ready to receive it. I pray and lift up every person You sent to me. I pray that they are surrendered and submitted to You and that they immediately obey. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
