Prepare. Position. Press. Day 12 – Do A New Thing and Repeat It

We all know the saying "it takes 21 days to create a new habit." (Surprise surprise!) However, it is the process that is challenging. It requires discipline and perseverance to create a new habit. And this is your challenge!

First, let’s identify the habits we would like to implement. Seek God in prayer and ask God for the habits that He would like for you to implement. Think about the goals you have set for yourself. What activities and choices will propel you towards those things? What actions will strengthen your faith, make you healthier, or have an overall positive impact on you for the future? For the next 21 days, (I’d say do 40 to up the ante) do that thing. Do it every day and remember why you are doing it. Let your habits draw you closer to God and to the plans He has for you.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I thank You for supplying all of my needs. I thank You that in You, I lack nothing. I thank You that Your word says to make my requests known to You with prayer and supplication, so I come to ask You to empower me to build new habits, by Your direction and leading, that will glorify You and guide me on the path You have for me. I thank You for equipping me with wisdom and strengthening me to be able to follow through. I thank You that with new habits, I am setting my footing to be positioned for victory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prepare. Position. Press. Day 11 – Tear Down the Stronghold of Bad Habits

Bad habits can defeat you and keep you from where you want to go. How do I know? Because I had (and still have some) really bad habits that I was both too stubborn to let go of and too prideful to admit I couldn’t shake them alone. But once I went to God in prayer about these things, I began to experience a breakthrough. So I encourage you to do the same.

Habits can be hard to break if we don’t come to terms with them. I think one of the harder things is being honest with yourself about what habits you have that you need to let go of. So, today, let’s take our habits to God in prayer, relinquishing the ones that need to be removed and seeking God for the habits that need to be picked up instead.

Prayer:
Lord God, thank You for today. Thank You for wisdom and revelation. Thank You for the insights to show me to the habits I have that are keeping me from the place and plans You have for me. In the name of Jesus, I thank You for deliverance. I decree and declare that strongholds and shackles are broken. I thank You that the bondage I have been in due to the habits I made and sustained is destroyed. I thank You for using this process to renew my mind and I thank You that I have the Word to stand on. I thank You that Romans 12:2 is alive and active in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
