Can God Trust You?

As I was praying on what to share with you all, God spoke to me and said to ask you all, can God trust you?

Can God trust you?

Can God trust you with His word for His people, to give it with no additives? Can God trust you to honor Him? Can God trust you to be faithful to Him and to others in relationships (familial, platonic, work, parent/child, romantic)? Can God trust you with little so that He can one day bless you with a lot? Can God trust you with blessings and know that you will continue to pursue Him? Can God trust you to not envy, covet or compare yourself to your neighbor(family member, friend, etc.)? Can God trust you not to use His word to hurt others in judgment? Can God trust you to use every gift, talent, and skill He has given you? Can God trust you to give without expecting something in return? Can God trust you to live your life in such a way that it truly honors Him? Can God trust you with the trials, tribulations, and adversities you face? Can God trust you to still praise, worship and glorify His name when the outcome is not what you wanted? Can God trust you to keep praising Him when the breakthrough you want has been delayed? Can God trust you to keep your mouth shut until He releases you to share? Can God trust you to not draw attention to you, but to Him?

I hope that today and every day going forward, that I will live a life where God knows He can trust me with all of it. I pray the same for you all too.

Get Your Cravings in Check

What are you craving?

I’m definitely not pregnant anymore but I still have cravings every now and then like I did while I was pregnant. Like I REALLY want some smothered chicken, rice and gravy, greens and black-eyed peas from Busy Bee by my school right now! 😫

But sigh, I’m not driving 4 hours just for food.

But as I was thinking about this, I heard God tell me to think about this and share. I don’t really eat rich soul food like this anymore, at least not regularly. It’s not healthy and honestly I wouldn’t be too productive. This is also directly in line with our fleshly cravings that are not pleasing to God. You think about whatever your "craving" is and how fun it would be or how good it would feel to do it for old times sake. But the truth is that it is not healthy nor is it conducive for your growth. It’s not healthy to nurture destructive relationships. It’s not healthy to give in to your cravings all the time because before long you’ll end up back where you’ve been delivered from. No I’m not telling you to not enjoy your life, but be mindful of how you do that. Everything that is acceptable is not good for you.

Then God brought to mind the importance of countering these cravings with truth. That’s why we have to renew our minds. It’s essential to living a victorious life!!! If you don’t have the truth to counter the lies with, you’ll believe the lies every time and remain unchanged.
